PROJECTS MEETINGS

PART 1 - GENERAL

1.01     PRECONSTRUCTION MEETING

A.         As soon as possible after award of Contract, the Contractor shall arrange a meeting between the Engineers designated by the Owner, major Sub-contractors, project superintendents, inspection and testing company representatives, and representatives of others whose coordination is required during construction.

B.         Discuss at the meeting the means by which full cooperation and coordination of the participants during construction can be achieved.

C.        Document the responsibilities and necessary activities of the participants during construction as discussed, and distribute documentation to each participant.

1.02     PROJECT PROGRESS MEETING

A.         Hold site meetings at regular intervals during construction in order to coordinate progress of the works. Establish meeting schedule with Engineer at the beginning of construction. Meetings shall be scheduled regularly on a weekly basis and shall fall at the same time of each week in which they are scheduled.

B.         Ensure that responsible representatives, from offices and site forces, of Contractor and Subcontractors attend. Owner and Engineer will also attend in their own interests.

C.        Inform designated personnel whose attendance is required of date of each meeting, in sufficient time to enable them to arrange for their presence.

D.        Prepare an agenda for each meeting and make available, to all those concerned, information required for the resolution of problems to be discussed.

E.         The Owner will chair meetings and the Engineer will record minutes of each meeting, distribute copies of minutes in duplicate to each person invited to the next meeting before it is called.
