Civil Engineering Specifications - CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM




CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM

PART 1 -GENERAL

1.01     DESCRIPTION

A.         General
1.         Promptly after reward of the contract, prepare and submit to Engineer estimated construction progress program for the work, with sub-programs of related activities which are essential to its progress.
2.         Submit revised progress programs periodically.

B.         Related Work Specified Elsewhere
1.         General Conditions of Contract: Program to be finished.
2.         Section 01110:                        Summary of Work.
3.         Section 01312:                        Project Meeting
4.         Section 01334:                        Shop Drawings, and Product Data.

1.02     FORM OF SCHEDULES

A.         Prepare programs in computerized format employing such programs as CPM, GANNT and the like, as indicated by the Engineer.

B.         Prepare Network Analysis system as requested by Engineer.

C.        Identification of listings: By major specification section numbers.

1.03     CONTENT OF PROGRAMMES

A.         Construction Progress Programs:
1.         Show the complete sequence of construction by activity.
2.         Show the dates for the beginning, and completion of, each major element of construction specifically list:
a.   Site clearing.
b.   Site Utilities.
c.   Foundation work.
d.   Structural framing.
e.   Equipment installations.
f.    Others as required by Engineer
3.         Show projected percentage of completion for each item, as of the first day of each month.

B.         Submittal Schedule for Shop Drawings, Product Data and Samples Show:
1.         The Dates for Contractor’s submittals will be required from the Engineer.

1.04     PROGRESS REVISIONS

A.         Indicate progress of each activity to date of submission.

B.         Show changes occurring since previous submission of program:
1.         Major changes in scope.
2.         Activities modified since previous submission.
3.         Revised projections of progress and completion.

C.        Provide a narrative report as needed to define:
1.         Problem areas, anticipated delays, and the impact on the program.
2.         Corrective action recommended, and its effect.
3.         The effect of changes on programs of others main contractors.

1.05     SUBMISSIONS

A.         Submit initial programs within 21 days after signature of contract.
1.         Engineer will review programs and return review copy within 10 days after receipt.
2.         If required, resubmit within 7 days after return of review copy.

B.         Submit revised progress programs with each application for payment.

C.        Submit the number of reproducible which the Contractor requires, plus two copies will be retained by the Engineer.

1.07     DISTRIBUTION

A.         Distribution copies of the reviewed programs to:
1.         Job site file
2.         Sub-contractors

B.         Instruct recipients to report promptly to the Contractor, in writing, any problems anticipated by the projections shown in the programs.
