PROJECT
IDENTIFICATIONS AND SIGNS
PART 1 -GENERAL
1.01 DESCRIPTION
A. General:
1. Furnish,
install, and maintain project identification sign .
2. Provide
temporary on - site informational signs.
3. Remove
signs on completion of construction.
4. Allow no
other signs to be displayed.

1.02 PROJECT IDENTIFICATION
A. Contractors shall provide a sign
indicating the following: Project title, perspective drawing of the project,
Owner, Engineer, main Contractor(S), Project and Contract Number, and other
information required by the Owner. The signs shall be in Arabic and English.
The contractor shall submit the design of the sign for approval by the Owner
prior to installation.
Contractor
shall maintain the sign in good repair and condition, and upon completion of
the work shall remove and dispose of the signs. Except for warnings and other
signs required by law and ordinance, contractor shall place no other signs or
advertisements on the premises.
B. Size: Of signs shall be as required by
the information to be displayed.
C. Graphic Design, Style of Lettering, and
Colors. As designated or approved by the Owner.
D. Erect on the site at a lighted location
of high public visibility. The number of signs required shall be 4 signs and
their locations shall be approved by the Owner.
E. The contractor shall not be allowed to
fix or allowed to be fixed any other form of advertising on the Site save for
the above sign. Any bill sticking on boarding, fencing and the like shall be
removed immediately and any graffiti painted over.
1.03 INFORMATION SIGN
A. Painted signs with painted lettering, or
standard products.
1. Size of signs and lettering as required by
regulatory agencies, or as appropriate to usage.
2. Colors as required by regulatory authorities,
otherwise of uniform colors throughout project.
B. Erect at appropriate locations to
provide required information.
1.04 QUALITY ASSURANCE
A. Sign painter: Professional Experience in
type of work required.
B. Finishes, Painting: Adequate to resist
weathering and fading for scheduled construction period.
PART
2 - PRODUCTS
2.01 SIGN MATERIALS
A. Structure and Framing: Must be new in
metal, in sound condition structurally adequate to work, and suitable for
specified finish.
B. Sign Surfaces: shall be of metal sheets,
standard large sizes to minimize joints.
Thickness:
As required by standards to span framing member, to provide even, smooth surface
without waves or buckles.
C. Rough Hardware: Galvanized.
D. Paint:
1. Use bulletin colors for graphics.
2. Colors for structure, framing, sign surfaces
and graphics : As selected or approved by Owner.
PART 3 - EXECUTION
3.01 PROJECT IDENTIFICATION SIGN
A. Paint exposed surfaces of supports,
framing and surface material; one coat of primer and one coat of exterior
paint.
B. Paint graphics in styles, sizes, and
colors selected.
C. Install at a height for optimum
visibility; on ground mounted poles or attached to temporary structural
surfaces.
3.02 MAINTENANCE
A. Maintain signs and supports in a neat,
clean condition; repair damages to structure, framing or sign.
B. Relocate information signs as required
by progress of the work.
3.03 REMOVAL
A. Remove signs, framing, supports, and
foundations at completion of project.
