19 GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN Islamabad CHAIRMAN NATIONAL TARIFF COMMISSION Position of the Chairman is vacant in the National Tariff Commission, Islamabad. This position is on MP-I Scale for a contractual term of three-years, with a possibility of renewal by the Federal Government for a further 3 years. Masters, Professional or Ph.d degree from an accredited University/Institute, preferably in the following areas: International trade laws, business and commercial laws, economics, accountancy, tariffs and trade, commerce and trade, or a trade-related subject; Working knowledge of trade remedy laws would be an advantage. 1. 15 years direct work experience in commerce and international trade - A focus on trade remedy laws would be an asset; 2. An additional 5 years experience in trade, commercial and business law. 3. In-depth understanding of tariffs, economics and accounting matters. 4. Work experience with an international business management organization would be regarded as an added qualification.
