 Career Opportunities A USAID-funded program working in the energy sector invites applications for the following positions based in Islamabad: Communications Specialist The Communications Specialist will implement the communications strategy, and work to raise visibility of this flagship program. Candidates with previous communications experience working on large-scale USAID or other donor-funded initiatives shall be preferred. Specific responsibilities include: • Support media relations through a proactive engagement strategy; drafting press releases, responding to media enquiries and liaising with key journalists. • Coordinate the production of internal and external communications, publications, program deliverables, films, and other collateral materials. • Generate quality business and creative written content for a wide range of communication and promotional material — reports, sector profiles, success stories, etc. Events Specialist The Events Specialist will plan, organize and execute high-level program-related events for senior-to-VIP-level official's work-sites throughout Pakistan. This position requires individuals with a "can do," attitude; and the ability to bring all necessary details associated with high-level, high-impact events together to complement success of the programs. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: • Work with implementing partners and program teams to facilitate program objectives. • Capitalize on developing opportunities to develop events that promote the program and its interventions in collaboration with partners, government and other stakeholders.
