U. S. Embassy, Islamabad is seeking applications from qualified individuals for the positions of Electrician Technician and Maintenance Mechanic (Plumbing). Attractive salary package and other benefits will be offered to the selected candidates.
Qualifications Required: Electrician Technician: Completion of twelve years of education & three months vocational training and five-year experience in operations and maintenance of building electrical power & lighting systems and associated equipment is required. Incumbent must have a very good knowledge of technical understanding of major building electrical power & lighting systems, related equipment, and of reading technical documents/literature, interpreting maintenance. Incumbent have the ability to diagnose and repair electrical power & lighting systems and components by using various tools of the trade, comprehend engineering reports/specifications and possess excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
Maintenance Mechanic (Plumbing): Twelve years of education and five-year' experience as a repair mechanic or maintenance technician working with plumbing systems in an institutional or commercial building setting is required. Incumbent must have good knowledge of international building, mechanical & plumbing codes, and mechanical principles & theories etc. Incumbent must have the ability to diagnose and repair filtration systems, water pumps, and hot water systems. Must be able to distinguish frequencies & sounds, color codes and odors in equipment operation and possess excellent interpersonal & organizational skills.
Good English language, computer skills and a valid Pakistani driver's license for Motor Car/Jeep are also required.
