CM Shahbaz Sharif in a meeting of the Council of Common Interest today, presenting his stance for more than an hour on basis of solid arguments and statistics regarding inequitable load shedding in Punjab in the presence of the Chief Ministers of the four provinces and members of the Cabinet, presented a resolution for the elimination of unjust load shedding which was unanimously approved.
CM said that the people of Punjab ask why are they being especially subjected to load shedding and that he could not remain a bystander while the economy of Punjab was being destroyed.
CM exclaimed that the reasons for shortage of energy are an open secret and he did not want to go into the shameful details of loot and plunders.
After approval of the resolution, PM Raja Pervaiz requested CM Shahbaz Sharif to end up his tent office set up in protest against load shedding. However, CM made it clear that “he will end his protest camp only after unjust load shedding in Punjab gets practically ended”
