Landmark speech at the first session of the Pakistan’s legislative assembly

65 years back, on 11th August 1947, Father of the Nation made his landmark speech at the first session of the Pakistan’s legislative assembly after getting elected as its chairman. In his historic speech, the Quaid-e-Azam highlighted broad principles for the functioning of the new-born Islamic Welfare State, emphasizing on equal rights to every citizen irrespective of the religion, cast and creed, and ensuring safety for life and property to each and every citizen.
